Craig M. Mandell represents clients in all areas of family and matrimonial law, dispute resolution, and litigation. Mr. Mandell concentrates his practice on issues affecting children, including complex custody and parenting matters.

Mr. Mandell is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association, as well as the Lake County Bar Association’s Family Law Advisory Group. He is a recipient of the DePaul University College of Law Certificate in Family Law and is a contributor to several legal publications.

Prior to joining Berger Schatz, Mr. Mandell served as an associate at two established Chicago-area matrimonial law firms. In addition to his experience as a matrimonial attorney, Mr. Mandell possesses a background in commercial litigation and in representing medical professionals in connection with health care litigation and controversies.

Mr. Mandell was selected as one of the 2017 Forty Under 40 Illinois Attorneys to Watch by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. He was chosen to the list of Rising Stars by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2013, 2014, and 2016. In 2015, Mr. Mandell was chosen to the list of Emerging Lawyers by Leading Lawyers and was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2016 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Family Law.
