Berger Schatz is pleased to announce that Rebecca Cahan and Kurt Kwidzinski have been elevated to partner, effective January 1, 2020. Rebecca and Kurt, both of whom reside in our Lake Forest office, reflect Berger Schatz’s strengths and core values, bringing the highest professional and ethical standards to the practice of family law, and exemplify the firm’s long tradition of developing exceptional attorneys who are also exceptional people.
Rebecca earned her J.D. from New York Law School. She was named an Illinois Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers (2010–2012) and was selected by Leading Lawyers to both their lists of Illinois Emerging Lawyers (2015–2017) and Illinois Leading Lawyers (2018–2019).
Kurt received his J.D. from Chicago Kent College of Law. Prior to attending law school, he gained over seven years of corporate experience with a preeminent global human resource and consulting firm. Kurt was named an Illinois Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers (2015-2016).
