Marie Boltz

Associate

Marie Boltz joined Berger Schatz in 2024, initially serving as a law clerk before being promoted to associate. Her experience encompasses complex financial, trust and business valuation matters, as well as premarital agreements and contested parentage cases.

Marie graduated from DePaul College of Law, where she also received a Certificate in Business Law. During law school, she was a member of the Child and Family Law Association, participated on the National Trial Team and represented low-income clients through the DePaul Family Law Clinic as a 711-licensed student, focusing on matters involving parentage and divorce.

Before joining Berger Schatz, Marie volunteered with organizations in Colorado and Chicago that assist survivors of domestic violence, helping people navigate the legal process of obtaining and maintaining Orders of Protection. She also completed a judicial externship with The Honorable Judge Ellen Flannigan in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. These experiences strengthened Marie’s commitment to family law and to guiding clients through the legal process with thoughtful, thorough representation.
