Berger Schatz LLP, one of the most preeminent matrimonial law firms in the nation, with offices in Chicago and Lake Forest, Illinois, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney. This Associate Attorney will collaborate with other members of our team, be responsible for handling multiple cases simultaneously, and represent high net worth clientele.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for overall case; file handling, organization, drafting document, attending depositions and court appearances
- Manage cases in Cook, Lake, DuPage and all outlying surrounding counties
- Maintain client relationships and confidentiality throughout complex cases
Requirements:
- Illinois Bar License required
- Three (3) – five (5) years experience in civil litigation, domestic relations experience is required
- Exceptional writing and analytical skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with clients directly
- Background in tax or financial is a plus, but not required
- Demonstrated planning, organization, and project management skills
- Ability to assess, prioritize, problem solve and execute multiple assignments in a high volume and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet tight deadlines
- Experience working in a team environment
- Self-starting, intrapreneurial mindset, with desire to grow and learn
