Berger Schatz, one of Chicago’s premier family law firms, is pleased to announce that Rachel Gewurz and Josephine Nitschmann have joined the firm’s Chicago office as associates. Both practice family law.
Rachel received her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, cum laude, and her B.A. from The Ohio State University, summa cum laude. While in law school, Rachel held judicial externships with the Honorable Judge Debra Walker and the Honorable Judge Abbey Fishman Romanek, both in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Prior to joining Berger Schatz, Josie worked as an intern in the Domestic Relations Division of the Office of the Public Guardian. She received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, summa cum laude, and her B.A. from Purdue University, with distinction. While in law school, Josie served as Editor of Articles of the DePaul Law Review, worked as a teaching assistant in Property Law and was a member of the DePaul Child and Family Law Association.
