Molly H. Haunty represents individuals in all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including negotiation and preparation of prenuptial, parenting, and settlement agreements, valuation and distribution of assets, custody and other child-related matters, and in trials and appeals. Additionally, Ms. Haunty represents clients who require assisted reproduction contracts including egg donation, sperm donation, and gestational surrogacy contracts, and the review of fertility clinic contracts governing the disposition of embryos.

Prior to joining Berger Schatz, Ms. Haunty worked on a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation grant representing indigent youth with the Children & Family Justice Center. While in law school, Ms. Haunty held Judicial Externships with the Honorable Judge Marvin Aspen and the Honorable Magistrate Judge Morton Denlow, both of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Haunty also served as Managing Editor for the Northwestern Journal of Law & Social Policy. Outside her legal practice, Ms. Haunty is affiliated with the Hinsdale Historical Society Women’s Board and Wellness House of Hinsdale; serves on the Grace Children’s Academy Board and the Grace Episcopal Church Vestry; and she is Co-Chair of the 2018 Wellness House Ball.

Ms. Haunty is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. She was selected as one of the 2018 Forty Under 40 Illinois Attorneys to Watch by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Ms. Haunty was also chosen by the Leading Lawyers Network for inclusion in their list of Emerging Lawyers in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, and was selected to the list of Rising Stars by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
