Andrew D. Eichner is a highly experienced and widely respected family law attorney who has been with Berger Schatz since 1988, and has been a partner since 1996. In addition to practicing matrimonial and family law, Mr. Eichner also practices collaborative law and is a court-certified mediator.
Mr. Eichner is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association (Family Law Section) and the Chicago Bar Association. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (Illinois Chapter) and a fellow of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois. Mr. Eichner was also invited to join the prestigious Nextlaw Global Referral Network, a highly selective lawyer to lawyer referral network instituted by Dentons, the world’s largest law firm. Mr. Eichner has been continually named to the Leading Lawyers Network since 2003 and has earned a peer rating of BV® Distinguished™ by Martindale-Hubbell®. He was also selected for inclusion in the Illinois Super Lawyers since 2006. In 2013, Mr. Eichner was named to the Top 100 Illinois Super Lawyers. Mr. Eichner was also selected by his peers for inclusion on The Best Lawyers in America® 2015 and 2016.
A regularly published author, Mr. Eichner has written numerous articles on topics ranging from discovery and expert testimony to domestic violence. He lectures on family and matrimonial law and has served on the faculty of the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Illinois State Bar Association. While in law school, he was an editor of the Loyola University of Chicago Law Journal. In 2013, Mr. Eichner was named a Fellow of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois (CLII).
Mr. Eichner is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
